WHAT IS THE SKEIN MASTERMIND?

The Skein Mastermind is a diverse group of supportive education professionals dedicated to constant improvement in the service of our students. We are dedicated to professional learning, making meaningful connections with other educators, and growing our knowledge, tools, and skill sets. In short, we just want to get better! You can think of The Skein Mastermind as a cross-curricular, multi-grade, Professional Learning Community on steroids. The Mastermind group meets virtually every Wednesday evening from 7:30 pm to 8:45 pm (CST).

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Each member is hand picked to join the Skein. Once you have applied and are accepted into the Skein, you will be sent a copy of our book study book (along with a reading schedule), links to our weekly meetings, and access to our private Discord chat. Each meeting has time dedicated to discussion around our reading, time dedicated to rich conversation around hot topics and best practices, and time dedicated for one of our members to be placed on the "hot seat." Members on the "hot seat" have the opportunity to present a challenging situation or question to the group and receive valuable suggestions, feedback, and resources to help problem solve and think through potential solutions.

WHAT'S INCLUDED?

  • Members will participate in our weekly virtual meetings with a team of diverse, supportive educators focused on learning and growing.

  • Members will have access to a private discord chat to provide continued support throughout the week.

  • Members will be connected with a curated community of supportive educators tasked with holding you accountable to professional and personal growth.

  • Members will be provided a copy of the book prior to each new book study.
